How does the course selection work for colleges? Besides the major, are the rest of your courses decided after you get accepted to the college?

Yes. You will apply for your courses after you have chosen that school. They will tell you what you need and you sign up for what classes you are most interested in from those choices. It will either all be online or in the dedicated office depending on the school. Freshman and sophomores don’t always get their first pick on what classes they really want though, it all depends on size of the school and classes.

If you look up General Catalog of each uni, you’ll be able to see program/major lists A-Z and there may be list of courses needed to get a degree in that major. Course names might be confusing at a first glance, but you’ll get used to it after few times
